A FISHERMAN'S PRAYER FOR OCRACOKE

by Rob Green

Dear Heavenly Father who we adore,

Please hear your children’s cry,

And spare this place we love so much,

Let danger pass it by.

You’ve blessed us with the beauty

Of both treasures great and small.

Please save them for another day,

To be enjoyed by all.

"Amen" intentionally omitted that this may be

a continual prayer for the little piece of Heaven on Earth

that we call Ocracoke.
